A Selection of Student Sketches from the Fronts & Backs of Pop Quizzes – AHIS 101

Aside from the addition of some self-assessments, the academic written midterm exam for the AHIS course was changed into a wildly successful material practices project (read about that here). A #hints project (described by Leah McCurdy in Creative Assessments for Creative Art History Teaching) was added to the weekly activities interspersed with a few pop quizzes. These sketches that appeared with the quiz responses feel like little cries, or assertions.
